GT5000 neat solution for gamers, sports fans and film buffs homes

Gamers and those that love to watch TV, sports or films will be thrilled with Optoma’s new GT5000 projector, just launched. Its ultra-short lens allows you to show extra-large 100-inch images on any wall, with the projector placed just 30cm away. This makes it a neat solution for any living room and guarantees a huge picture the whole family can enjoy without any shadows cast from gamers or people going to fetch the popcorn.

Its Full HD 1080p resolution and high brightness (3,000 ANSI lumens) makes it perfect for use with the lights on.  And with just 33ms input lag and quick response time, this home entertainment projector gives gamers a competitive advantage.

Optoma’s Head of Product Marketing, Justin Halls, said: “People using their TV for gaming, sports and films are missing out. The portable 100-inch super-sized imagery offered by the GT5000 enables everyone to enjoy high resolution, life-size images in any room in their home.”

The GT5000’s sleek design, high brightness and mobility allow users to move it from one room to another. It fits perfectly into any interior, and because it doesn’t need to be set far back from the screen or wall, unsightly cables in the middle of the room are a thing of the past.

Easy to set-up, the GT5000’s broad connectivity includes two HDMI inputs for connection to any device. This means games consoles, Blu-ray players or digital television set top boxes can be simultaneously connected, making switching between sources literally the push of a button.

The GT5000 comes complete with a built-in speaker that delivers powerful 16W audio, with exceptional sound quality. Despite the small dimensions of the projector, the level of audio created will easily fill a living space. An audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.

It can even be turned into a smart display by connecting a HDMI dongle like the HDCast Pro, Google Chromecast™ or Apple TV™ to play games, stream videos and share photos on the big screen at home.

The GT5000 can display true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation games consoles. Support for 144Hz rapid refresh rate provides ultra-smooth flicker free images..

The GT5000 complements Optoma’s range of home projectors which include short throw models suitable for coffee tables and standard throw projectors that can be sited towards the rear of the room.
