Optoma demonstrates new solutions at Tech Day event

Optoma’s QUAD FHDQ130 and interactive flat panel display, unveiled at ISE last month

Optoma is inviting AV professionals to its Tech Day on Thursday 9 May, 9am - 12:30pm for hands-on demonstrations of its new LED display solutions, professional and consumer 4K UHD projectors and interactive flat panel displays, unveiled last month at ISE.

Attendees will be able to be able to see close up Optoma’s award-winning QUAD FHD130 LED display which pioneers a unique 4-in-1 Surface Mount Diode layout and comes pre-calibrated for installation in just a couple of hours.

The Optoma team will also demonstrate three other LED displays:

  • 5 metre wide 2.6mm pixel pitch bespoke resolution (1920x864) LED display
  • 4 metre wide 2mm pixel pitch Full HD LED display
  • 3 metre wide 1.5mm pixel pitch Full HD LED display

The event at Optoma’s headquarters near Hemel Hempstead will also feature its new multi-touch interactive flat panels.  These 4K UHD resolution 65’’, 75’’ and 86’’ displays were recently awarded low blue light certification from the world leader in product testing and certification, TÜV Rheinland.  Blue light can cause eye damage and affect vision over time.  Optoma’s low blue light IFPDs reduce eyestrain and tiredness by minimising blue light output and produce no hazardous UV light emissions.

Among the projection demonstrations will be a shootout of Optoma’s new 4K UHD interchangeable lens laser projectors: ZK750 (7,000 lumen) vs ZK1050 (10,000 lumen), as well as two ZH420UST ultra short throw laser projectors blended using the integrated warping and blending engine.

But the highlight for many installers will be settling scores from Optoma’s last tech morning in its racing simulator. This time attendees will be racing around Brand’s Hatch Indy circuit, with the fastest driver winning a pair of BE Free5 earphones.

Nick Price, Sales Director at Optoma EMEA said: “The event will enable AV professionals to get hands-on with the new tech whether that is the LED displays, projectors or our new interactive flat panel displays.  Optoma is no longer just a projection company – we are in the business of big imagery. This event allows our customers to see, and try, this wider range of display solutions that we can now deliver to suit all situations and environments.”

Optoma’s headquarters are conveniently located off the A41 just outside Hemel Hempstead, easily accessible from the M1 and M25.

AV professionals must pre-register to attend this event via email [email protected] or telephone: 01923 691 866.
