Full 3D 1080p Cinema in your Living Room with the Latest Home Entertainment Optoma Projector

London, 7th September 2011 – Experience Full 3D 1080p on the big screen, with stunning colours and sharp images from the Optoma HD33 projector. With 10,000:1 contrast ratio (500:1 ANSI Contrast ratio) and 1800 ANSI lumens brightness, the Optoma HD33’s high-end specifications deliver an unforgettable 3D and 2D performance at an affordable price point.

The HD33 also offers a full range of analogue and digital inputs, including two HDMI inputs with v1.4a 3D support, makes connectivity to digital entertainment devices such as 3D Blu-Ray™ players, games consoles and set-top boxes straightforward. Although the HD33 is ideal for a home cinema, it is also bright enough to be used in ambient light conditions – which is better suited to watching live sports.

Justin Halls, Head of Product Management at Optoma commented, “It is widely accepted that to truly appreciate the full 3D experience, images need to fill the viewers’ field of vision. We, at Optoma believe the new HD33 provides an impressive 1080p 3D movie and gaming experience that even the larger 3DTV screens just cannot compete with. The HD33 produces some of the highest resolution 3D images available to the consumer. At such high resolution the human eye is just incapable of seeing all the details at 3m away on a small (50”) screen. Only the true large screen experience available with a 3D projector can produce a truly immersive experience.  What’s more, using 3D DLP technology means that “ghosting” is no longer an issue”

The HD33 is powered by Optoma’s innovative PureEngine technologies, which combine to create the clearest and sharpest 1080p 3D images, with pure, deep colours, guaranteed by Optoma for five years’ consistent performance. Pure technologies included in the Optoma HD33:

·         PureMotion4 - latest generation frame-interpolation processing, “PureMotion4”, found on models of more than twice the price. At its lowest setting, PureMotion4 maximises the detail of every frame whilst still retaining the “dream-like” quality of film. Whilst, the highest setting is ideal for fast-paced sports and non-stop action films as it virtually eliminates motion blur.

·         PureD - a feature that optimises the projector configuration brightness and image quality, whatever content is being displayed, ensuring stunning image quality both in 2D and 3D modes.

The HD33 has also been developed in parallel with the new Optoma 3D-RF glasses which have been specifically designed to optimise 3D image quality. Brightness and contrast are maximised whilst emitter placement issues experienced with infra-red models are eliminated. The new glasses use Wi-Fi technology and are fully rechargeable. Optoma resellers will have the option to supply the HD33 with or without the new 3D-RF glasses.

With a stylish white design, the new HD33 brings Full 3D 1080p big-screen entertainment straight to the home at a competitive price point. The projector also comes with a five year colour performance guarantee and five year imager guarantee, for long lasting picture performance.

The HD33 includes one pair of 3D-RF glasses and will be available from selected retailers, priced at £1349.99.
