Optoma launches HD6720 3D Entertainment Home Cinema Projector

London, 1 October 2012 – Optoma has released the HD6720, a high brightness home entertainment projector and successor to the best selling HD67N. The new projector delivers high quality HD Ready viewing without dimming the lights with 2700 ANSI Lumens of brightness.

The HD6720 is also fully compatible with the Optoma 3D-XL projector adapter for life-size 3D gaming, Sky 3D sports and Blu-ray 3D™. With an impressive choice of seven display modes along with Native 720p (HD Ready) resolution the new HD6720 is perfect for sharp, detailed images.

Most movies are shot at 24 frames per second (FPS) and therefore the HD6720 preserves the purity of the original image by accepting HD sources at 24 FPS preserving the image as the director intended. The HD6720 provides perfectly balanced colour rendition and incredible light and shade detail, only possible with an impressive 400:1 ANSI Contrast ratio/4000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio.

Optoma is keen to deliver a reliable, measurable indicator of real-world contrast performance between different projector technologies and is committed to systematically publishing its ANSI Contrast performance in addition to the more traditional peak contrast ratio.

Featuring a full range of analogue and digital inputs, including HDMI v1.3, connectivity to the latest digital entertainment devices such as Blu-Ray™ players and gaming consoles is simple and straightforward. Not only is the HD6720 perfect for big screen cinema experiences but is also bright enough to be used in ambient light conditions.

The Optoma HD6720 projector is available now from selected UK retailers and online stores, priced at £449.99 Inc. VAT.
