Multi-award-winning HD91 now available to buy

Optoma has announced its award-winning HD91 home cinema projector that harnesses ground-breaking LED technology, is now available to buy from selected stores across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Since it was unveiled by the world-leading projector manufacturer earlier this year, the HD91 home cinema projector has received numerous awards and accolades, including a Highly Recommended award from AVForums.com. Steve Withers, Assistant Editor at AVForums praised the HD91 for its excellent performance: “The 2D performance was excellent and as is often the case with a DLP projector, the 3D was simply superb”.

Other recent awards include a Recommended badge and 9/10 for features, value and design from Technology Journalist John Archer at TrustedReviews.com. John commented on the HD91’s colour precision: “The HD91 delivers a great sense of detail with HD sources. This is partly down, again, to the finesse of its colour reproduction. But the sharpness on show also points to the precision of its DLP mirroring device and LED alignment, as well as confirming that the large lens really is of a very good quality.”

IT Journalist, Chris Bidmead also gave the HD91 5/5 for performance and 4/5 for features, value, ease of use and design in a recent review for GadgetSpeak.com: “You'll have gathered I liked this projector a lot. Yes, the price-tag makes it by no means an impulse buy. But when you factor in the saving on an illumination system that will last the life of the machine (as against the typical £200 a conventional lamp may cost you every 600 or so viewing hours), the 5 year guarantee on colour quality, and price against others in its class, the HD91 starts to look like a bargain.”

Optoma’s Head of Product Management, Justin Halls, said: “We are delighted with the excellent feedback received since we announced the HD91. A huge advantage of this projector is that it uses the latest LED technology, which offers consistent brightness and colour performance, maintaining its out-of-the-box image quality throughout its lifetime.”

It will ultimately cost less to the consumer. Justin explained: “This projector will not have the inconvenience and cost of frequent lamp changes. It also doesn’t need lengthy warm-up and cool-down cycles due to its almost instant start-up and shut-down times. And, because LEDs need less cooling than traditional bulbs, it can be installed closer to walls or ceilings or even built into a small enclosure.”
