The earbuds sit snug in the ears offering good passive isolation and a comfortable fit.
The ear wings come in three sizes, small, medium and large, and keep the NuForce BE Live5 securely in place. This is especially useful when it comes to working out.
The NuForce BE Live5 features 8mm drivers in each earbud which produce a surprising amount of volume and bass.
NuForce BE Live5 actually fit pretty well and sound surprisingly good at the same time. The NuForce BE Live5 come with all the features you would expect to find in a premium set of earphones and they all work really well.
With a good selection of tips 'n' hooks and a price that's comfortably below £100, these great-sounding headphones happily gobble up and spit out everything from classic rock to pounding electronic dance to winsome classical numbers and acoustic plucking, and deserve to fly off the shelves, once they arrive on them.
“The Optoma Nuforce BE Live5 is a very good Bluetooth headphone, if you are looking for a solid, neutral sounding model. It looks good in everyday life, but it's also good for sports.”
The sound quality truly is a cut above – audiophiles will appreciate the aptX and AAC functionality that allows the headphones to wirelessly stream from Apple, Android and Windows devices at a much higher quality than regular Bluetooth streaming devices. If you’ve only ever listened to standard (or crappy) Bluetooth headsets, prepare to be blown away by the levels.
All in all, I’m seriously impressed with the BE Live5. At £89.99, they’re not the cheapest on the market but for this quality I would consider them a real bargain and the sound quality is as good as many of their premium wired counterparts.
Linking to your SmartPhone is simply a matter of selecting it from items discoverable in Bluetooth a one-time process as connection after that is automatic once in range. On the phones I tested these buds with anyway they also showed the state of the battery in the buds.
For my music and speech tests I have an MP3 player with the whole Gamut of audio and sound files and these I transferred to the two phones I used to test these Bluetooth earbuds. I found no problems with clarity of sound even for the higher pitched female voice which is often a problem for those of use with reduced hearing.
A very comfortable pair of earphones.
They sound very detailed in the higher frequencies.
In the mid-tones they sound effortless.
They handle higher volumes a lot easier.
Natural sounding vocals. Very clear and concise. And nice bass control.
Everything sounds tight and well controlled.
I’ve been very very impressed with them.
Battery life is good at eight hours as is the recharging time – nice and quick
Excellent sound quality playback across the audible range with Bluetooth support using aptX or AAC . Made even better with a great fit and great sound isolation from the supplied memory foam ear tips. With IPX5 certification and a good battery, these are ready for 8 hours of sport.
The sound quality is great. There is clarity through from the highs to the lows of the audible spectrum.
The bass is deep enough and the vocals are more than clear enough for the audiophile in me.
For easy running with music, extended listening at home, or gently on the move, and a desire for GREAT audio quality then the NuForce Be Live 5 clearly wins for me.
Optoma Nuforce has succeeded with the BE Live5, a great set of headphones!
Optoma launched the BE Live5 for 99€ in the market. The design, the sound quality and the processing of the Be Live5's are very impressive.
I really like these Optoma BE Live 5 wireless earphones. Optoma has done well with continuing to improve their product designs, and the BE Live 5 represents their state of the art. Their styling is top notch and incorporated into this are lighter weight, lower profile earbud pieces that stay in your ear better and the multiple tips and ear wings help the user customize their comfort level for their preference. Their battery life was impressive at somewhere between 6.5 and 7.5 hours for me, and their sweat and moisture resistance is solid. Their sound is clear and sharp.
With the BE Live5, Optoma offers yet another pair of versatile earbuds at a very attractive price. The BE Live5 are everyday headphones that you can actually work out in. Although they're under $100, they don't necessarily feel like it, with cool, slick aluminum earpieces that magnetically clasp together around your neck when you take them off. They have an eight-hour battery life and a waterproof rating of IPX5, which means that you're good to take them out in the pouring rain or for the sweatiest gym session. However, I do find I have a hard time getting their slick, silicone tips and wings to stay put during more vigorous activities.
“WOW, the BE Live5's are definitely worth it". The Nuforce BE Live5's are currently the best-sounding headphone within the Nuforce extensive BE-series. If you are liking a clear and neutral sound then these earphone's are definitely for you."
“A recommendable and chic all-rounder for sports and everyday life."
“NuForce advertises with "ultimate sound quality" with this model, so we were very excited - and were pleasantly surprised. In fact, the latest model offers a very good and balanced sound. The basses are strong, but not too thick. The midtone area also shows its full effect without coming to the fore. On the other hand the heights are emphasized, but fortunately they do not cross the thin line between transparent and annoying. In addition, the sound is very clean and distortion. So the BE Live5 is one of the best in-ears we have ever tested!”
“Brand new on the market and already one of our favorites: The NuForce BE Live5 is a Bluetooth sports in-ear headphones, which convinced us in the test straightaway. Elegant design made of aluminum meets good wearing comfort and a great sound. The integrated rechargeable battery lasts up to eight hours and the beautiful in ears are stowed away in a beautiful fabric hard case.”
