Nikola Tesla: Mind from the future

Challenge: To create a multimedia exhibition and interactive story inspired by Nikola Tesla. With over 300 international artists, to combine science and art to create and link the elements of video scenery, computer games, live movie and magical hologram-light adventures into a unique multimedia experience.
Solution: Real Grupa selected 32 Optoma projectors with short throw lenses to create a strong audio and visual representation of Tesla’s work on a large scale to portray his science journey.
Results: The exhibition smashed all attendance records, and is already declared as the year’s top science & art event. After Zagreb, the exhibition is to travel around the world: Paris, Prague, Budapest, New York, and finally Dubai for EXPO.

The Challenge

Nikola Tesla – Mind From The Future is a multimedia exhibition and interactive story inspired by the great visionary who changed the world. 

This experiential futuristic spectacle, modelled on the vision of Nikola Tesla, presents a ten-year authorial work of world-renowned, award-winning author Helena Bulaja Madunic, as well as the group of international artists who operate in the field of synergy of science and art by merging film, animation, video art and technical innovation. 

Real Group was given the responsibility of selecting the best suited brands and products to create an immersive experience for the exhibition. 

The key requirement was to create a strong audio and visual representation of Tesla’s work on a large scale to portray his science journey. Additionally, it was important to have the most reliable products with a long lamp life that could run 12 hours a day, 7 days of the week with no maintenance. 

The Solution

Real Group had no doubt that Optoma is the best solution for this project, and therefore selected 32 Optoma EH200ST projectors to produce very high quality images across the whole Mestrovic Pavilion. 

Optoma EH200ST couples 1080p high resolution with bright, vibrant visuals to produce pin sharp graphics – ideal for use in this kind of environment. EH200ST uses advanced optical components to produce bright, vivid image quality at 3000 lumens and a very high contrast of 20.000:1.  

Its lightweight compact chassis makes for easy installation. Additionally, with a short-throw lens, the projectors produce large screen sizes from a short distance, which gave the integrator more freedom for installation. 

The Results

The exhibition is set up at the Mestrovic Pavilion in Zagreb (Croatia) and is one of the largest projector installations in Croatia successfully achieved through the joint collaboration of AVR d.o.o. as a general distributor, Optoma Europe and Real Group production company. 

Organised in collaboration of partners and sponsors and presented superbly by REAL GROUP and HDLU, this exhibition will be a sensation in the region and Europe in terms of production and art, and has already been declared as the year’s top science and art event.

Tesla – Mind from the future is closing its doors after four months in Zagreb, and is to travel around the world: Paris, Prague, Budapest, New York, and finally to Dubai for EXPO.
