Optoma expands ProScene range with new compact WUXGA installation projector

Optoma has unveiled the latest addition to its high-performance ProScene projector range – the WU630. Designed for the professional AV market, the new installation projector features native WUXGA resolution, 6,000 lumens and 4,400:1 contrast ratio for pin-sharp, punchy images.

Housed in a compact chassis and weighing just under 14kg (without lens), the WU630 makes installation easy. Its motorised lens shift, zoom and focus makes it simple to set up, while the three-position lens memory allows for quick and easy scene changes. It has five high-quality lens options, from wide focus through to extra-long zoom, to suit almost any installation scenario.

The newly redesigned remote control unit has backlit keys for easy operation in dimly-lit environments. Certified for 24/7 operation, the projector supports 360° installation (across its vertical axis), making it capable of projecting directly onto a floor or ceiling.

"The new WU630 offers a host of features for demanding applications”, explained Justin Halls, Optoma Europe’s Head of Visual System Solutions and Technical Services. “This projector’s compact size along with its 24/7 operation and 360° installation makes it extremely flexible - vastly increasing the scope of installation possibilities.”

The WU630 includes connections for HDMI, DVI, VGA and 5 BNC. Control can be implemented via RS232 or LAN, with support for Crestron RoomView and PJLink, allowing centralised monitoring and control of most projector functions.

For video conferencing or other collaborative applications, the WU630 supports picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture. Signals can be delivered simultaneously via the HDMI and DVI ports, for a PbP or PiP display from two digital sources.

The ProScene product range and support services have been created by Optoma for demanding professional AV applications requiring exceptional levels of performance and reliability.

ProScene projectors are available through a network of certified partners, selected as the most experienced and competent AV installers and integrators across the EMEA region.

The WU630 is available now and can be obtained through Optoma’s extensive network of authorised ProScene partners.
