Optoma launches lightest and brightest ultra short throw laser projector in its category

Optoma has just launched its lightest and brightest DuraCore laser ultra short throw (UST) projector - ZH500UST.  The 5000-lumen Full HD 1080p projector is perfect for retail, digital signage and complex installations that need lights-on projection.

With a media player and office viewer functionality built-in, presentations can be played without the need for a laptop or PC. And there is a signage mode for automatic content playback.

Weighing only 5.7kg, the ZH500UST projector can be ceiling mounted less than half a metre away from a wall or shop window to project an image size of over 100 inches (254cm).

The installation flexibility of the projector is significantly suited to areas with restricted access - such as shop windows or retail displays..  Supporting 24/7 operation and versatile orientation including portrait mode and downward projection, the ZH500UST also has four corner adjustment enabling users to individually warp each corner of the image to create a perfectly square image. This is ideal for image stacking, uneven walls or where projector placement is awkward and needs to be installed at an angle.

James Fursse, Technical Product Manager at Optoma EMEA, commented: “The ZH500UST is the lightest and brightest ultra short throw laser projector in its category.  The 0.25 UST throw ratio, compact chassis and versatile installation orientations make this an exemplary projector for digital signage solutions.”

Powered by a long-lasting, low maintenance, lamp-free, DuraCore laser light source, the ZH500UST delivers consistent high brightness of up to 30,000 hours uninterrupted operation in full brightness mode and superior colour reproduction for vivid images. Additionally, an independent IP5X dust resistant rating ensures total reliability even in the most demanding of environments.

For enhanced colour and contrast in brightly lit spaces, the Optoma ALR100 ambient light rejecting screen makes the perfect accessory.
