Optoma’s QUADShow takes to the road

The Optoma QUADShow will be taking to the road and visiting four of the largest cities across Sweden over four days as part of the touring conference, Monitor Roadshow.

Over the four days the QUADShow will be put through its paces travelling from Malmö, stopping at Göteborg then Norrköping, before crossing the finish line in Stockholm – making the out-of-box portable display solution the perfect companion for this action-packed logistical marathon.

With its all-in-one motorised lift and transport system. The QUADShow transforms the award-winning Optoma QUAD series FHDQ130 into a truly mobile 130” pre-calibrated LED display for events.

The simple set-up process eliminates the complexity of a traditional LED build by dramatically reducing installation time to just a few minutes and most importantly, cutting the total project cost as it can be built without the need of a colossal team.  Optoma will be demonstrating the swift set up process during the show’s opening hours, as they plan to tear-down and set-up the QUAD LED display every hour, on the hour.

Vegard Børresen, Pro AV Sales Manager at Optoma Europe commented:

“Setting up an LED display at a different location every day for four days would have been impossible before the QUADShow. Installing and calibrating a standard LED display takes days, the QUAD LED display reduces this to hours and the QUADShow changes the games entirely to literally minutes!  It means we can wheel in the display, remove the case, set down the legs and it is ready to go.  We’re very proud to work alongside Ambisonic at the roadshow to present both brands and our products throughout Southern Sweden.”

The QUAD was launched at ISE 2019, where it was awarded Best of Show by Installation. The fully optimised 130” (2.88 x 1.62 m) Full HD 1080p FHDQ130 produces a glorious 130-inch Full HD image with incredible depth of colour and detail. Behind the magnificent imagery is a unique 4-in-1 Surface Mount Diode layout, with the LED diodes set in clusters of four.  This not only creates a smoother screen surface for a better image quality and wide viewing angle, but also makes the design more robust with individual diodes less likely to get damaged during installation and use.

The all-in-one solution comes pre-calibrated out-of-the-box, removing the hassle of managing software and the various associated files, while ensuring the image is optimised for immediate use. Integrated HQUltra and media player technology eliminates the need for any additional separate devices associated with traditional LED solutions and provides additional features such as Picture in Picture.  It also ensures that whatever device or content is plugged into the display, it will automatically scale it to present perfectly.

With a range of connectivity and control options including dual HDMI, USB, RS232 and HDBaseT, the display is designed to be easy to operate and can be networked. It can also be connected to a smart phone or tablet using Optoma’s Connect Q application.

The ability to control the display from a central control system and its eco-friendly ErP compliant <0.5W standby mode saves energy costs through reduced power consumption.
