Integrated edge blending now with every ZU850

Optoma’s high brightness ZU850 laser projector now has built-in edge blending software as standard.

Intuitive and easy to use, the user interface for the new integrated software is identical to Optoma’s Chameleon GB-200 blending and warping processor.

Carley Everton, ProAV Channel Manager, said: “The built in software saves installers the cost of additional hardware and, by making the user interface consistent with the Chameleon GB-200, saves time for installers who are already familiar with this.”

This WUXGA ProScene projector was the first to feature MultiColor Laser (MCL technology) and has surpassed brightness specifications in independent tests.

MultiColor Laser achieves superior colour rendition through an additional red laser.  Together with the blue laser, this red laser enhances the colour performance to deliver striking and rich lifelike images with exceptional detail.  Designed to deliver consistent brightness and advanced colour fidelity, it is engineered to last.

The ZU850 forms part of Optoma’s DuraCore laser range which champions an industry-leading lifetime laser light source delivering a minimum of 20,000 hours in full brightness mode.

In its independent road test Projector Central said: “The ZU850 is rated at 8000 lumens. Our test unit equipped with the optional BX-CTA06 lens delivered 8530 lumens in Bright and Constant Power modes, thus exceeding its rating - most uncommon performance for the majority of today's projectors.”

It added: “Overall, while the ZU850 is no lightweight at 51 pounds, its high brightness and resolution, 20,000 hours of Constant Luminance, and extreme installation versatility make the Optoma ZU850 a projector that a lot of professional installers will be choosing for an almost limitless range of applications.”
