UHD40: Bringing cinema home

A cinema in the home has just become more affordable for film-lovers as Optoma launches its UHD40 4K UHD projector at just £1,599.99.

The new model features a newly developed 4K precision lens for crystal clear detail in every image – bringing content to life on the big screen.

Kishan Mistry, Senior Product Manager at Optoma EMEA, said “We continue to expand our 4K UHD home projection range and offer customers more compact solutions with razor sharp, high resolution HDR images”.

Packed with the latest technology and features, this stylish projector boasts High Dynamic Range (HDR) compatibility, HDCP 2.2 support and includes a stereo speaker that provides powerful audio.

Set-up is simple with vertical lens shift for fuss-free positioning and a host of connection options such as two HDMI ports. In addition, the compact UHD40 is lightweight and easy to move around and at 2,400 lumens produces bright images for life-like big-screen entertainment.

With full 8.3 million on-screen pixels, the new model meet the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) requirements for 4K UHD and complies with the CTA High Dynamic Range (HDR) compatible display standards. This guarantees razor sharp, vivid images capable of showing more details than standard HD – replicating the immersive experience of going to the cinema.

Equipped with Optoma’s Amazing Colour technology which includes an enhanced colour wheel and multiple modes and settings to choose from, users have the freedom to select the best setting for the content. Each mode has been fine-tuned by Optoma’s expert colour team to ensure superior colour performance. Reference mode reproduces accurate 100% Rec.709 HDTV broadcast spec colours.
