PK301+ substantial brightness increase for award winning Pico Pocket Projector

London, 14 June 2012 - Optoma has further developed and improved their well respected and award winning PK301 with a substantial increase in LED brightness to almost double.  This enhancement made to the PK301+ makes it the ideal Pico projector for most home environments and is a welcome upgrade to the Optoma range of Pico projectors.

The PK301+ is a self-contained personal Pico projector featuring bright, high resolution LED output and an integrated multimedia player for use at home or on-the-move. The  Pico PK301+ is a diminutive 120 x 70 x 30mm (WxDxH) and  takes up no more space than the average smart phone, yet is capable of projecting an image up to 150 inches either via the included power supply or battery.

Supplied with internal memory and the ability to read files directly from Micro SD cards of up to 32Gb, the user can load content directly to the projector for built-in multimedia playback without being tied to a computer, making it ideal for easily sharing images, videos, music, and documents on a variety on surfaces in the home or visiting friends and clients.  In most situations, that means there is now no need to carry a source device.

“The Optoma Pico PK301+ is one of the most impressive home Pico projectors on the market today,” commented Head of Product Management, Justin Halls.  With impressive resolution and brightness the PK301+ is a terrific personal projector for home and even business, brilliantly handling and projecting movies, games, photo and video files, you’ll be watching movies at up to 150 inches using the HDMI input or the built in memory.”

Although weighing just 235g, the PK301+ has a wealth of inputs and outputs making it suitable for the most demanding of leisure users.  However, for those occasions when there isn’t time, or it’s not necessary to store the files on a memory card, Optoma has included mini HDMI, VGA and USB connections to the specification so that the PK301+ can be used with most sources. It’s simple to connect an iPad®, iPod®, iPhone®, mobile phone, digital camera or mobile gaming devices to the Pico. With the inclusion of a mini HDMI, VGA and USB, the Pico PK301+ can be connected to a laptop too using the supplied cables (one of four supplied as standard in the box) to the output source.
