Optoma launches new Pico Pocket Projector PK120

70 inches in your pocket for a big screen experience on the move

London UK, August 2011 – Following the continued success of the Optoma range of Pico projectors, Optoma have unveiled the new PK120 capable of producing an image of up to 70 inches. The PK120 retains the pocket-sized form-factor weighing just 145g and also offers the consumer a way of personalising their Optoma Pico with a choice of express-on covers. The 2GB internal memory is capable of storing major file formats and the micro-SD slot provides additional multimedia content.

“The Optoma Pico PK120 is arguably the best value battery-operated Pico projector on the market today,” commented Justin Halls, Head of Product Management. “With the increased image size of 70 inches and micro-SD slot, the PK120 is ideal for watching downloaded films or connecting to your iPad® or iPhone®. Impress your colleagues too; use it for projecting highly professional looking PowerPoint ® slides, images and video files.“

Projecting photos, movies or PowerPoint® presentations with the Pico PK120 is straightforward using the micro SD slot which is capable of accepting cards of up to 32GB.  In many situations, that means there is now no need to carry a source device. There’s also no need to carry a heavy and bulky power supply as the Pico PK120 has a rechargeable battery capable of giving up to an hour and a half of use on a single charge.

However, for those occasions when there isn’t time, or it’s not necessary to store the files on a memory card, Optoma have included VGA and USB connections to the specification to facilitate use with most sources. It’s simple to connect an iPod®, iPhone®, mobile phone, digital camera or mobile gaming devices to the Pico but with the inclusion of a VGA and USB, it’s now possible to use the Pico PK120 with a laptop using the supplied cables (one of four supplied as standard in the box) to the output source.

The Optoma Pico PK120 projector is available now from selected UK retailers and online stores, priced at £179.99. For more information, visit: www.optomapico.co.uk
