Optoma expands ProScene projector range with X605 featuring interchangeable lenses and full lens shift

Optoma has expanded its range of ProScene projectors, designed for the professional installation market, with the launch of the X605.

The new model has a centre-lens design, full lens shift and three interchangeable lens options including an off-axis short throw lens.  This flexible lens option is perfect for museums and exhibitions with space constraints as, together with the lens shift function, it ensures installers can get the image precisely where it is needed.

This XGA model produces 6000 ANSI lumens of brightness and completes the impressive line-up of second generation models on this platform including WXGA (W505), 1080p (EH503) and WUXGA (EH505 – now also available in matte black).  These bright projectors range from 5000 and 6000 lumens.

Superb image quality is at the heart of every ProScene product design. The 1080p and WUXGA (1920 x 1200) models offer reliable un-scaled Full HD video. The reflective nature of DLP® micro-mirror technology incorporated in this single lamp design provides efficient, bright images up to 6000 lumens with high contrast, whilst maintaining precise colour accuracy and natural, real-world colour reproduction.

Optoma offers three optional lenses which can be attached and detached with one-touch ease; a standard lens, a fixed zoom short-throw lens and a long throw lens making it straightforward to adapt the projector to the installation.

The chassis design incorporates extensive vertical (up to +60%/-20%) and horizontal (+/-10%) lens shift to ensure maximum flexibility, which can be used with all three lens options.

The wired remote functionality allows all aspects of the projector to be individually controlled without requiring line-of-sight to the projector. Specifically tailored to suit the simulation market, the WUXGA EH505 is available in matte black to minimise unwanted distractions in multi-projector training installations.

Once installed, each model in the range can be monitored over LAN and can also provide the user with email message alerts in case an error occurs, a lamp fails or needs to be replaced, using Crestron Roomview™.

The web browser interface and full support for Telnet, Extron’s IP Link, AMX dynamic device discovery and PJ-Link protocols, allow almost all functions to be controlled remotely across a network.

ProScene projectors require very little maintenance; have no user serviceable parts inside and no filters that require regular cleaning or replacement. The result is low cost, predictable service cycles, enabling planned down-time to be minimised.

Full 3D support (via HDMI 1.4) for various devices such as PC, Blu-ray 3D™, Sony® PS3, Microsoft® Xbox 360 or 3D TV broadcast system complete an already impressive array of features.

The ProScene X605 projector is available now from selected Pro AV dealers.
