Business looks brighter with Optoma’s new range

London, 10 February 2014: Businesses and hoteliers will have brighter, higher resolution presentations across their boardrooms, meeting rooms and offices with Optoma’s new range of corporate projectors.

Justin Halls, Head of Product Management at Optoma, commented: “We are launching this new range of projectors specifically for businesses which want higher resolution and higher quality imagery in their meeting rooms.  All models have Eco+ modes for energy saving, 3D capabilities and can be managed and monitored remotely through network control.  And because they are installed with DLP® technology their image quality and brightness will not degrade over time.”

The high native resolution* (WXGA and XGA) and brightness rating of more than 4000 lumens makes the projectors suitable for the brightest meeting rooms. The X600 produces exceptional brightness of 6000 lumens making it suitable for larger venues and conference rooms.

The five new models EW400, W401, EX400, X401, X600 vary in terms of resolution, brightness, speaker strength, connectivity and throw ratio.  A new feature installed in the EW400 and EX400 is USB Plug and Play which allows presentations to be viewed straight from a USB stick.

And, when purchased at full price, UK customers will receive a free wireless dongle** with every EW400 or EX400 [pictured].

DLP® (Digital Light Processing) technology, pioneered by Texas Instruments, uses millions of mirrors which produce higher quality 3D images and ensure the projector does not suffer colour degradation over time, as sometimes experienced in other projector technologies. It also means the projectors need less maintenance as there are no filters to remove and clean.

*Native Resolution is the number of physical pixels in a display device. An XGA display has a native resolution of 1024 physical pixels of resolution horizontally and 768 pixels vertically or 786,432 total pixels.  The higher the total pixels, the better the image quality projected.

** While stocks last. The miniature sized WiFi dongle is simple to setup, enabling the user to connect and display presentation materials wirelessly from a laptop, PC or Mac.
